about

Danny Adler was very fortunate to have had many interesting collaborations during the 1970’s and 80’s. Take for example this two volume extremely LIVE, Wild and Free set from February 1985 at North London’s Dublin Castle Pub. Featuring Danny, Dick Heckstall-Smith on saxophones (Graham Bond, Georgie Fame, Alexis Korner, Jack Bruce, The DeLuxe Blues Band, John McLaughlin and Julian Bahula), Peter Ind on bass (Miles Davis, Buddy Rich, Gerry Mulligan, Lennie Tristano and Booker Ervin), and the incredible Micky Waller on drums (The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, The DeLuxe Blues Band, Cyril Davies, Rod Stewart and Elton John). Here is a veritable feast of inspired and crazy Be Bop, Blues and Beyond. Dig in, and Dig it!
