In 1980, Danny began playing with the De Luxe Blues Band. This was a spin-off project from the Rocket 88 band that was a showcase for Rolling Stones Charlie Watts, Ian “Stew” Stewart, The Cream’s Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, British Blues God Father Alexis Korner, Boogie piano man Bob Hall and of course Danny Adler. The band featured an all star line up of Danny, Micky Waller (Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart), Bob Brunning (Fleetwood Mac) and Bob Hall (Savoy Brown, Ground Hogs). One of Rock n Rolls first ever live digital recordings, this superb De Luxe Blues Band album (one of ten LPs) reflects a wonderful chemistry between old friends which kept this band in constant demand for 10 years on the European Blues circuit. Here are seasoned veterans of the 1960’s beat group wars celebrating a joyous return to their roots.
This album provides a complete programme of inspired un-issued material from the DeLuxe Blues Band’s first ever LP. “Live At The Half Moon Putney.” Both LPs were recorded the night of October 24th, 1980.
