about

In 1983, LP 3 of 8 by The De Luxe Blues Band was again recorded on The Rolling Stones Mobile Truck at Shepperton Films Studios with recording engineer Mick McKenna. Charlie Watts replaces Micky Waller on drums and producer Ian “Stew” Stewart and George Green, both excellent Boogie Woogie specialists, share piano duties with wonderful De Luxe Blues Band regular Bob Hall.
This LP has moments of genuine inspiration, especially on the Freddy King instrumental (The Stumble) on which Danny is accompanied by 1/3rd of the original Rolling Stones line up. Therefore, this album anticipates The Rolling Stones wonderful 2016 LP Blue & Lonesome by 33 years!
